#21 Tennessee 72, Florida A&M 43
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. | The Florida A&M University men's basketball team went nearly nine minutes without a bucket from the field in the first half as No. 21 Tennessee took advantage with a huge run and didn't look back in a 72-43 victory on Wednesday night at Thompson-Boling Arena.
Florida A&M (0-7) took a slim margin to open the game, but Tennessee (7-1) used a 16-1 run and took a 39-18 advantage into the break.
Evins Desir paced Florida A&M with 11 points, on 4-of-5 shooting, along with a team-high seven rebounds and one blocked shot.
Jamir Williams registered a career-best eight points, including 2-for-2 from behind the 3-point line.
MJ Randolph added seven points, two steals, two boards and one block.
John Fulkerson finished with 15 points, five rebounds and one steal to lead Tennessee. Yves Pons recorded 14 points, seven boards, two steals and one block, while Olivier Nkamhoua chipped in 11 points and pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds. Lamonte Turner and Josiah-Jordan Jones each posted 10 points.

Georgia 95, North Carolina Central 59
ATHENS, Ga. – North Carolina Central University faced a tough Georgia squad, and the Bulldogs picked up a 95-59 win on Wednesday, Dec. 7 inside Stegeman Coliseum.
NCCU (2-6) and UGA (6-2) traded the lead four times in the early stages of the first half, but a 13-0 run at the 14:10 mark from the Bulldogs provided breathing room for the hosts in the first period. The Eagles shot an even 50 percent from the floor and from the perimeter in the first 20 minutes, but Georgia also made half of its three-pointers with a total of seven falling before the break.
Anthony Edwards (Atlanta, Ga.) put up 19 points in the first half and that helped lead to a 50-35 lead midway through. C.J. Keyser (Baltimore, Md.) also exploded in the first half as he reached a season-high 11 points, and Jibri Blount (Pittsburgh, Pa.) contributed 10 points before the intermission as well.
UGA started the second half on a 13-2 run as it continued to make more than half of its shots from the floor, and that created enough separation to keep the Eagles at bay for the rest of the contest on the way to a 95-59 victory.
Keyser finished with a season-best 16 points, and Blount chipped in a team-high 19 points and eight rebounds. Jordan Perkins (Greensboro, N.C.) dished out a game-high tying six assists for the Eagles along with four points and two boards.
Edwards finished with a game-high 21 points, and Rayshaun Hammonds (Norcross, Ga.) followed him with 19 points and nine caroms. Tyree Crump (Bainbridge, Ga.) collected 16 points with five rebounds, and Christian Brown (Hopkins, S.C.) was the fourth Bulldog in double-digits with 11 points and eight rebounds.

North Carolina A&T 52, Longwood 41
The N.C. A&T Aggies went into the half trailing Longwood 27-24, but fought back from the deficit to beat the Lancers 52-41 at home Wednesday.
N.C. A&T's overall record moved to 3-6 with the win.
The Aggies had two players score in double figures, led by Devin Haygood, who had 17 points and three blocks. Andre Jackson tacked on 10 points, six rebounds and five assists and Kameron Langley added seven points, six rebounds, six assists and two steals.
N.C. A&T forced 19 Longwood turnovers while committing 15 themselves in Wednesday's game. The Aggies turned those takeaways into 15 points on the other end of the floor. Langley led the way individually with two steals.
N.C. A&T started out the scoring by going on a 7-0 run, culminating in a bucket from Haygood, to take an early lead with 16:47 left in the first half. The Aggies then surrendered that lead and entered halftime down 27-24.
N.C. A&T narrowed its deficit to 37-36 before going on a 5-0 run, finished off by Ronald Jackson's three, to seize a 41-37 lead with 3:04 to go in the contest. The Aggies kept expanding the margin and coasted the rest of the way for the 52-41 win.

Towson 76, Morgan State 59
BALTIMORE, Md. (Dec. 4, 2019) – Brian Fobbs scored 18 points, Dennis Tunstall added 13 points and 10 rebounds, and the visiting Towson Tigers posted a 76-59 victory over Morgan State on Wednesday night inside Hill Field House.
The Tigers improved to a 17-14 series record against Morgan, and captured its first win against the Bears since an 82-78 overtime win on December 6, 2017 at SECU Arena.
Morgan State dropped their fifth straight game and now sit at 3-7 overall.
Tonight's matchup had six lead changes and four ties in the first half, before the Tigers (4-4) went on a 9-3 run, capped by a Betrand three to give the Tigers 39-32 halftime lead.
Betrand finished with 17 points (3-4 3FG) and Nakye Sanders chipped in 13.
Towson (4-4) dominated the glass in the first half as they grabbed 19 rebounds to the Bears nine. The Tigers also scored 10 points on all 10 of their offensive rebounds.
"We had nine rebounds and they had 10," said MSU head coach
Kevin Broadus. "We can't win basketball games with a deficit like that. We have to get physically and mentally tougher."
Towson finished with 13 second-chance points on 15 offensive rebounds.
The Tigers momentum would continue into the second half as they started the final twenty minutes on an 11-0 run.
Betrand scored eight of the Tigers 11 points during the run, including a three-pointer to increase the Tigers lead to 50-32.
However, after a media timeout at the 15:36 mark, the Bears would go on a 13-0 run to trim the lead to 50-45.

Loyola (Md.) 84, Delaware State 76
Dover, Del. (Dec. 4, 2019) --- Loyola (Md.) pulled away in the final minute of an entertaining 84-76 victory over Delaware State this evening.
The Greyhounds won for the third time in the last four games to improve to 5-4 this season, while the Hornets dropped their second in a row to fall to 1-9.
Andrew Kostecka led four Loyola double-figure scorers with 25 points. Kavaughn Scott added 14 points , while Cam Spencer and Kenneth Jones tallied 13 points each for the Greyhounds.
The loss overshadowed a game-high 31-point performance by Delaware State senior John Crosby, who was 11-for-19 from the field (one three-pointer) and eight-of-10 at the free throw line.
Crosby has topped the 20-point mark in five of the Hornets’ 10 games, including two 30-point performances, to raise his season average to a MEAC-high 20.1 points per game.
DSU center Ameer Bennett tallied a season-best 16 points, highlighted by 10-for-10 shooting from the free throw line.
“I’m proud of the way we battled throughout the game,” said Delaware State head coach Eric Skeeters. “We were in position to pull out the win, but Loyola made more plays than we did down the stretch.”
Delaware State trailed by seven points on three occasions in the first half, but pulled to within 31-27 at the break.
Loyola led 39-33 early in the second half, but the Hornets scored the next six points, and tied the score at 39-39 on two free throws by Bennett with 16:27 left to play.
After the Greyhounds rebounded to open up a 44-39 lead, DSU rallied again.
The Hornets scored 13 of the next 15 points and opened up their biggest lead, 52-46, on an inside basket by Crosby at the 12:10 mark of the second half.

Southern Illinois 76, Norfolk State 59
CARBONDALE, Ill. - Southern Illinois used a barrage of 3-pointers to take down the Norfolk State men's basketball team in a non-conference game on Wednesday evening at the Banterra Center, 76-59.
The Salukis made 14-of-30 from beyond the arc, part of an overall 48 percent shooting night. The Spartans shot better than 50 percent in the second half but could not slow down SIU in dropping their sixth straight.
NSU (3-7) got 11 points from junior Devante Carter on 5-of-7 shooting, while sophomore Joe Bryant Jr. added 10 points. The Spartans made 44 percent from the field overall, but just 6-of-20 from deep.
SIU (4-5) had five players in double figures, with Marcus Domask taking charge with 18 points on 6-of-13 shooting and 12 rebounds. He had four treys on the night.
The Salukis led most of the first half, which began with both teams knocking down 3-pointers. Bishop nailed his second of the game for a 19-18 lead with exactly 12 minutes on the clock. Lance Jones then scored seven in a row to put SIU back on top. That began a 17-4 run for the Salukis that stretched their lead to 12 with four minutes left in the half.
Bryant ended the run with his second trey of the game, but SIU scored seven of the last nine points of the half to get its lead back to 12, 42-30. The Salukis sank eight 3-pointers in the first 20 minutes of the game.
The Spartans got the deficit down to seven early in the second half on buckets by senior Jermaine Bishop and freshman Tyrese Jenkins. SIU countered with a 14-4 run that pushed its lead to 17, 58-41, with 11 minutes to go. Buckets by Carter and Bryant made it a 13-point game, but SIU scored the next seven points. The Salukis led by as much as 15 the rest of the way.
Bishop finished with nine points thanks to 3-of-5 shooting from deep. Senior Steven Whitley added eight points, six assists, five rebounds and four steals, and junior Efstratios Kalogerias also had eight points.
NSU held the edge in points in the paint, 32-22.
