Howard 67, East Carolina 51
GREENVILLE, N.C. -- Howard overcame a 13-point deficit to defeat East Carolina 67-51 Monday night, thanks to a 42-point second-half outburst.
With the victory, Howard matched its longest winning streak of the season at three while improving to 7-4 overall.
Senior guard Sarah Edmond filled the stat sheet, finishing with a game-high 17 points, nine boards, four assists and four steals. Second-year forward Krislyn Marsh added 12 points, including 10 points after halftime.
In her first collegiate start, Iyanna Warren produced a game-high nine dimes while fellow classmate Brooklyn Fort-Davis grabbed a team-leading nine boards.
Second-year guard Gia Thorpe provided the spark off the bench, netting 15 points in the win.
