WASHINGTON, D.C. -- 
Howard cruised to a 91-42 victory over Niagara inside Burr Gymnasium on Saturday. With the win, the Bison improved to 6-4 on the season.
 
Howard dominated all facets of the game, starting on the defensive end.
 
The Bison scored 25 points on 28 Niagara turnovers, while holding the Purple Eagles to only 21-percent (15-for-71) from the floor, including 19 percent (4-for-21) behind the arc.

Senior guard Sarah Edmond led the attack, posting a season-best 25 points on 9-for-12 shooting, including 5-for-6 from downtown. Third-year sharpshooter Jayla Thornton produced 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting, including 4-of-8 from beyond the arc.

Sophomore forward Krislyn Marsh had 15 points and six boards, while fellow classmate Gia Thorpe added 11 points and six rebounds in the victory.

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. --
Amanda Carney led four Maryland Eastern Shore players in double figures with 25 points on Saturday, as the Hawks upended Mount St. Mary's 78-76 in the W.P. Hytche Athletic Center for the first win over a Div. I opponent this season.

The Hawks improved to 3-7 on the season.

Carney also had seven rebounds. Kenetria Redfern added 18 points, a team-high nine rebounds and three steals, while Brooklyn Bailey and Porsha Sydnor had 14 and 12 points, respectively.

Sydnor was the hero for Maryland Eastern Shore, hitting a jumper in the closing seconds to break the 76-76 tie and give the Hawks the win.

North Carolina Central redshirt freshman guard Faith Williams tallied season highs in points, rebounds and assists in her first college start during a 102-50 loss at Iowa on Saturday afternoon inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
