NASSAU, Bahamas -- Te'Jon Lucas had a career-high 26 points as Milwaukee edged Morgan State 62-57 in the Islands of the Bahamas Showcase on Saturday.
 
DeAndre Abram had 14 points for Milwaukee (5-2). Darius Roy added seven assists.
 
Sherwyn Devonish-Prince Jr. had 13 points for the Bears (3-4). Isaiah Burke added 12 points. Stanley Davis had 12 points and nine rebounds.

Seton Hall 87, Florida A&M 51
 
NEWARK, N.J. | Three Florida A&M University men’s basketball players reached double figures in scoring but it wasn’t enough as the Rattlers dropped an 87-51 decision to Seton Hall at the Prudential Center.
 
Kamron Reaves and Rod Melton, Jr. each finished with 12 points to pace the Rattlers (0-5). MJ Randolph tallied 11 points and nine boards.
 
Myles Powell paced Seton Hall (4-1) with 23 points, while Quincy McKnight added 14 points and five assists. Jared Rhoden registered a double-double of 12 rebounds and 10 points.

> Florida A&M shot 29.3 percent (17-of-58) from the floor and 65.2 percent (15-of-23) from the charity stripe
> Seton Hall was 28-of-63 (44.4 percent) from the field and 23-of-31 (74.2 percent) from the foul line

Bethune-Cookman 66, Eastern Illinois 63
 
SAN ANTONIO – Wali Parks and Houston Smith each scored 14 points, and Bethune-Cookman put five players in double figures as the Wildcats improved to 2-0 in the MTE Classic with a 66-63 victory over Eastern Illinois Saturday afternoon.
 
Cletrell Pope (10 points, 10 rebounds) put BCU (4-2) ahead 57-56 on a lay-up with 4:15 remaining, than Parks and Smith added baskets to push the Wildcat lead to five.
 
Eastern Illinois (3-3) closed to one point twice, the last on a Deang Deang three-pointer with 15 seconds remaining, but Isaiah Bailey (12 points) sank two free throws with four seconds remaining.
 
Leon Redd also was in double-figures with 12 points for the Wildcats, who close the trip Sunday at 1 p.m. against St. Francis (Ill.)

East Tennessee State 98, Delaware State 66
 
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. -- Daivien Williamson scored 17 points as East Tennessee State romped past Delaware State 98-66 on Saturday.
 
Bo Hodges added 16 points for the Buccaneers, while Jeromy Rodriguez chipped in 15. Rodriguez also had seven rebounds for the Buccaneers
 
Tray Boyd III had 13 points and six steals for East Tennessee State (4-1).
 
Johquin Wiley had 17 points for the Hornets (0-6), whose season-opening losing streak stretched to six games. Myles Carter added 12 points. John Crosby had six rebounds.

Ball State 100, Howard 69
 
MUNCIE, Ind. -- The Howard University Bison fell to the Ball State University Cardinals, 100-69 Saturday at the Worthen Arena.

Howard's Charles "CJ" Williams (Richmond, Va.) lead the Bison scoring a team-high 18-points the hard way. Williams went 8-for-15 from the floor and 1-for-1 from beyond the arc, recording a season-high five rebounds. Coming off the bench, Raymond Bethea, Jr. (Atlantic City, N.J.) and Nate Garvey (Nanuet, N.Y.) scored 13 and 10 points respectively. Bethea led the Bison on the boards by collecting six rebounds. 

HOW IT HAPPEN
 
  • Back-to-back-to-back three-pointers by Ball State kick-started a 26-10 run, to start the contest to put the Bison in a hole midway through the first half. 
  • The Cardinal connected on 13 shots from beyond the arc, shooting 65 percent (13-for-20).
  • The Bison shot 50 percent from the floor in the first half (13-for-26)
  • In the second half, the Cardinals used a 29-11 run to put the game out of reach, 82-40 with nine minutes left in regulation. 
  • The 40 points scored in the second half were the most scored in a half this season. 
  • Bethea and Garvey scored a season-high 13 points and 10 points, respectively.
  • Williams has scored in double-figures in all but two games this season. Williams is 74 points shy of becoming the career points leader in Howard History.

Coppin State 68, Cornell 66 (OT)
 
BALTIMORE – Coppin State's men's basketball team picked up its second victory of the season with a 68-66 overtime victory over Cornell University on Saturday night at PEC Arena.  This is the first time since the 2013-14 season that the Eagles have won a pair of non-conference Division I games.

Inside the Numbers
  • Three Coppin State players finished in double figures, led by Kamar McKnight who recorded 22 points on 8-of-13 shooting and 4-of-6 from 3-point range.
  • Koby Thomas added 19 points on 7-of-14 shooting to go with eight rebounds which matched Brendan Medley-Bacon for a team-high.
  • Andrew Robinson scored 15 points on 6-of-11 from the field with three 3-pointers.  His final three with 43 seconds remaining in overtime sealed the victory.
  • Dejuan Clayton scored five points with three steals and Medley-Bacon finished with four points, eight rebounds and five blocks in just 23 minutes.
  • Reggie James provided a great spark off the bench with three points, three rebounds and an assist.
  • The Eagles outshot Cornell, 41.9% to 29.1% from the floor.
  • Cornell outrebounded Coppin, 54-43 and had 26 offensive rebounds which turned into 20 second-chance points.
  • The Big Red got 25 points and 17 rebounds from Jimmy Boeheim who scored 20 of his points after the first half.
