Cletrell Pope finished with 16 points and 11 rebounds to notch his third double-double of the season and Bethune-Cookman cruised to an 83-58 win over Incarnate Word on Friday.
Pope knocked down 5 of 7 shots from the floor for the Wildcats (3-2), who shot 54% overall and 56% from 3-point range (10 of 18).
Leon Redd added 17 points, while
Wali Parks scored 10.
Reserve Dwight Murray Jr. had 15 points to lead the Cardinals (1-4).
Keaston Willis added 12 points and
Vincent Miszkiewicz snared 12 rebounds to go with nine points. Incarnate Word shot just 35% from the floor, including 1-of-10 shooting from distance.

North Carolina A&T State 83, Nicholls State 58
MONTEGO BAY, Jamaica --
Ronald Jackson had 11 points and 11 rebounds to lead North Carolina A&T to a 66-54 win over Nicholls State on Friday in the Jamaica Classic.
Tyler Maye had 19 points for NC A&T (2-4).
Kwe Parker added 10 points and
Webster Filmore had eight rebounds. The Aggies made 24 of 33 free-throw attempts and outrebounded Nicholls State 41-28.
NC A&T led by just two points at halftime and pushed it to double figures for good with 9:18 left, going ahead by as many as 17 points.
Elvis Harvey had 15 points for the Colonels (2-4).
Kevin Johnson added 13 points and Abdul Alatishe had seven rebounds. Nichols State was held to 30% shooting from the field, including 4 of 24 from distance.
NC A&T faces Eastern Michigan on Sunday. Nicholls State takes on Maryland-Baltimore County on Sunday.

Liberty 89, Morgan State 48
NASSAU, The Bahamas -- Morgan State men's basketball suffered an 89-48 loss to Liberty in first round action of The Islands of the Bahamas Showcase at the Baha Mar Convention Center in Nassau, The Bahamas.
Kyle Rode led the Flames with 17 points on 6-for-8 shooting and pulled down five rebounds. Scottie James had 15 (9-12 FT) and Elijah Cuffee added 12 points.
The Flames improved to 6-0 for the first time since 1991 and just the second time during Liberty's Division I era.
Morgan State (3-3) was handed its first loss to Liberty since 1983, however the Bears still lead the overall series 3-2.
The Bears struggled today offensively, shooting just 28.6 percent (14-49) from the field, 29 percent in the first half. While Liberty hit 3 eight 3s and shot 57.7 percent in the first half, including 54.5 percent for the game. Morgan was held to 3-of-19 from 3-point range and made 17-of-27 free throws.
Isaiah Burke led the Bears with 15 points, his fourth game in scoring in double-figures. He got little help offensively, however, especially in the first half.
Troy Baxter had eight points and seven rebounds,
Kyson Rawls added seven points and
Lagio Grantsaan chipped in six.
The Flames led 17-10 when
Troy Baxter hit a 3-pointer and split a pair of free throws to pull the Bears within 3 points (17-14), but Liberty responded with a 24-2 run over the next eight minutes. Liberty led 50-26 at halftime.

Northwestern 70, Norfolk State 59
EVANSTON, Ill. - Norfolk State raced out to a 10-point lead, but Northwestern came back to top the Spartan men's basketball team by a 70-59 score on Friday night at Welsh-Ryan Arena.
Part of the Fort Myers Tip-Off Tournament, the game ultimately featured a 29-point swing between the first and second halves. NSU was up by 10 seven minutes into the game, but the Wildcats clawed back to go up by 12 at the break. Their lead reached as much as 19 in the second before NSU closed the game on a late run.
Senior Jermaine Bishop played a solid game for the Spartans, scoring 24 points on 7-of-12 shooting, 5-of-9 from deep, with four rebounds and four assists. He finished three points off his career high set while with Saint Louis. Junior Devante Carter finished in double figures as well for NSU with 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting and a team-high six boards.
Northwestern got 19 points and 12 rebounds from Ryan Young, who shot 11-of-12 from the free throw line. Pete Nance added 17 points and six boards as well as NU improved to 2-2 on the year. NSU fell to 3-3.
