Yannis Mendy and
Josh Williams scored 14 points apiece as Robert Morris routed Howard 85-65 on Friday in the Men Against Breast Cancer (MABC) Invitational.
Mendy made his first six shots from the floor and finished 7 of 8 for a career high in points.
Dante Treacy added 13 points for the Colonials, while
DJ Russell and
Charles Bain each had 10.
Robert Morris used a 20-6 spurt in the first half to build a 32-18 lead.
Charles Williams had 26 points on 10-of-17 shooting for the Bison (0-4).
Kyle Foster added 15 points.
Both teams take on Toledo the next time they take the floor. Robert Morris (1-3) will play the Rockets on Saturday, while Howard plays on Sunday.

Georgia 100, Delaware State 66
ATHENS, Ga. --
Rayshaun Hammonds had 26 points and a career-high 14 rebounds,
Amanze Ngumezi added 16 points and Georgia coasted to a 100-66 victory over Delaware State on Friday night.
Anthony Edwards, one of the nation's top freshmen, finished with six points and seven assists in 25 minutes. The star guard sat out much of the second half with Georgia (3-0) leading by big margins.
Hammonds, the Bulldogs' leading scorer and rebounder last season, went 11 for 14 from the field. It was his third career double-double.
John Crosby scored 22 points for Delaware State (0-3). The Hornets had nobody able to match up underneath against Hammonds and Ngumezi, both of whom are 6-foot-9, 235 pounds.
The Bulldogs led by 20 at halftime on 56 percent shooting from the field. Hammonds had 11 of Georgia's first 16 points, went 7 for 9 from the field before intermission and hit jumpers on consecutive possessions to make it 33-19.

Akron 57, North Carolina Central 47
AKRON, Ohio – North Carolina Central University ignited a 9-0 run in the second half to draw within two, but cold shooting hampered the Eagles as Akron pulled away with a 57-47 win inside James A. Rhodes Arena on Friday, Nov. 15.
Arkon (2-1) amassed a large lead in the first half as NCCU (1-2) succeeded on just one three-point attempt in the first 20 minutes, leading to a 27-15 advantage for the Zips at the break. The second half proved a different story as the Eagles out-shot the Zips, but Akron made 16 free throws in the second period to keep the Eagles at bay.
Ty Graves (Greensboro, N.C.) put up a team-high 10 points all in the second half along with five rebounds, and
Jibri Blount (Pittsburgh, Pa.) was right behind him with a near double-double of nine points and eight rebounds.
Justin Whatley (Chesapeake, Va.) made his first appearance of the season with eight points and four rebounds, and
Nicolas Fennell (Bowie, Md.) filled the stat sheet with seven points and five boards.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Freshmen
Joe French and
Jordan Preaster each scored 21 points to lead five Wildcats in double figures in their 100-42 victory over Trinity Baptist College Friday night.
Isaiah Bailey added 16 points,
Cletrell Pope a 10-point, 15-rebound double-double and 10
Leon Redd points as the Wildcats (2-2) reached the century mark for the second time this season.
French and Preaster combined to hit their first six shots as BCU shot 61.3 percent (19-31) en route to a 52-19 halftime lead. All ten Wildcat players scored in the first half.
French has led BCU in scoring three times this season. He's shooting 58.3 percent from three-point range after four games. Preaster had scored just 16 points in his first three games before going 9-13 from the field Friday.
Zen Goodrige put BCU at the 100-point mark on a free throw with 28 seconds remaining. Preaster's lay-up gave BCU its largest lead at 99-36 with 2:22 to play.

DEKALB, Ill. – Coppin State’s men’s basketball team kept within striking distance all game but could not get over the hump as it fell at Northern Illinois, 81-69, on Friday night at the Convocation Center. The matchup was the first game of the Collegiate Hoops Roadshow Presented by AtmosAir.

How it Happened
- Northern Illinois got out to a 16-7 lead in the first five minutes but pulled to within a single point with a 8-0 run starting with a three from Andrew Robinson and capped off with a layup by Kamar McKnight.
- Nigel Marshall tied the score at 18-18 with a pair of free throws at the 9:38 mark but NIU went on a 10-2 run over the next 3:52 to go back up, 28-20.
- Coppin got back to within 29-25 with a layup by Marshall and a three from McKnight but the Huskies extended the lead to as many as 36-26 and took a 37-29 lead into the half.
- Dejuan Clayton was much more active on the offensive end in the second half as he drove in for a layup and made another free throw in the opening minute.
- After an NIU basket, Coppin made it a 39-37 ballgame after two Koby Thomas free throws and another three from Robinson with 18:17 remaining.
- The Huskies then went on 9-1 run over the next four minutes and Coppin got no closer than six points the remainder of the game.
- A transition layup by Aaron Robinson made it a 51-45 game but the Huskies scored seven-straight and kept a double-digit lead the remainder of the game.
#17 Utah State 81, North Carolina A&T State 54
LOGAN, Utah --
Alphonso Anderson had 21 points, six rebounds and three assists and
Justin Bean added 18 points, 10 rebounds and three assists to help No. 17 Utah State beat North Carolina A&T 81-54 on Friday night.
Ronald Jackson led North Carolina A&T with 15 points.
With North Carolina A&T (1-3) rallying in the second half, Utah State (4-0) made a key run to pull away.
After trailing by as much as 15 points, North Carolina A&T cut it to six points on Fred Cleveland's 3-pointer with 14:03 left. Utah State regrouped and went on a 9-0 run over the next two minutes to make it 51-36. Utah State took advantage of three North Carolina A&T turnovers, with Bean scoring five of the Aggies' nine points.
For the third straight game, Utah State raced to a big lead, getting out to a 12-2 advantage. North Carolina A&T rallied through the first half to climb within eight points on
Tyler Maye's jumper.
