The fans have made their voices heard for the seventh time in 2019, and they decided that
Delaware State's Bizzet Woodley turned in the Play of the Week for Week 11. The fans also selected
North Carolina Central quarterback Davius Richard and
Norfolk State defensive end De'Shaan Dixon as their Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively.
Woodley sprinted down the far sideline near the midway point of the first quarter in Saturday's upset win over Bethune-Cookman, leaping over his defender near the goal line and stretching out his right hand to snag Tylik Bethea's pass out of the air. With his momentum carrying him out of bounds, Woodley got a foot down in the endzone.
That play, which was featured on ESPN's "You Got Mossed!" segment, got the Hornets on the board.
Richard completed 30 passes for 384 yards and three touchdowns this past Saturday against Norfolk State, marking the sixth-best passing performance in program history.
Dixon recorded a pair of sacks and had three solo tackles in the Spartans' 38-21 win over North Carolina Central.
