Maryland Eastern Shore senior Brigitte Jacobs was named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Bowler of the Week, the conference office announced today.
Maryland Eastern Shore’s Alejandra Amezcua was named Rookie of the Week.
Jacobs (Sr., Freeport, Ill.) helped lead the Hawks to a repeat title at the Caldwell Cougar Classic and made the All-Tournament Team after finishing second as an individual with a 201.5 pinfall average in traditional play. She put up strong numbers each day, posting a 44-percent strike percentage, an 82-percent fill percentage and she picked up 26 of 27 single-pin spares.
Amezcua (Fr., Baja California, Mexico) had a strong weekend overall, posting a traditional average of 173.5 to finish 25
th overall in the Caldwell Cougar Classic. She had strong play throughout the weekend and was a key Baker contributor, posting a 39-percent strike rate, an 81-percent fill rate and converted 30 of 32 single-pin spares.

Samantha Johnson (UAB) averaged 187.2 pins in traditional play at the BearCat Hammer Open.
