NORFOLK, Va., Jan. 8, 2019—Morgan State senior Adre’onia Coleman was selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, the conference office announced today.
Florida A&M’s Mya Moye earned Rookie of the Week honors, while
Coppin State junior Chance Graham and
Norfolk State redshirt senior Khadedra Croker were named Co-Defensive Players of the Week.
Coleman (5-10, G/F, Sr., Baltimore, Md.) averaged a double-double to open conference play this past week, accounting for 21 points and 14.5 rebounds per contest and going a combined 15-for-35 (.429) from the floor. She opened the week with 18 points and 14 rebounds, to go along with two assists, two steals and a block, against Maryland Eastern Shore, before dropping a game-high 24 points and grabbing 15 rebounds in a win over Savannah State.
Moye (5-6, G, Fr., Washington, D.C.) averaged 17.5 points per game this past week, including a 22-point effort in a road win over Howard. In that game, she also had five rebounds, three assists and a steal and hit three 3-pointers. Against Norfolk State, she scored 13 points to go along with four assists.
Graham (6-0, F, Jr., Upper Marlboro, Md.) averaged 15.5 rebounds per game this past week, and of her 31 total rebounds, 25 came on the defensive end. Against Savannah State, she turned in the second-best single-game rebounding effort in program history, grabbing 25 rebounds – 20 of which came on the defensive end. She also had a block and a steal in that contest.
Croker (6-3, F/C, r-Sr., Suffolk, Va.) averaged 4.5 blocks per game for the Spartans this past week, and of the nine shots she blocked for the week, a season-high six came against Florida A&M. She also blocked three shots on Saturday in a win over Delaware State – a game in which she also had eight rebounds (six on the defensive end).

Chasimmie Brown (B-CU) grabbed eight rebounds against North Carolina Central.
Angel Golden (B-CU) hit four 3-pointers and scored 21 points against North Carolina Central.
Tsahai Corbie (CSU) dropped 13 points and dished out three assists against Delaware State.
Brooke Fields (CSU) recorded her first career double-double against Delaware State with 26 points and 10 rebounds.
Dy’Manee Royal (FAMU) had 13 points and 11 rebounds against Norfolk State.
Imani Bryant (HOW) grabbed 14 rebounds and blocked four shots against Maryland Eastern Shore.
Krislyn Marsh (HOW) had 10 points against Florida A&M.
Brooklyn Bailey (MDES) dropped 16 points against Morgan State and 12 against Howard.
Ciani Byrom (MDES) dropped a career-high 31 points against Morgan State.
Ashia McCalla (MSU) had 18 points and four rebounds against Maryland Eastern Shore.
Alexus Lessears (NCAT) blocked two shots against South Carolina State.
Rayven Peeples (NCAT) had 10 points and four rebounds against South Carolina State.
Paulina Afriyie (NCCU) recorded double-doubles against Wilberforce (25 points, 10 rebounds) and Bethune-Cookman (15 points, 12 rebounds).
Kendrea Dawkins (NSU) dropped 20 points against Florida A&M.
