NORFOLK, Va., Jan. 29, 2019—Morgan State senior Adre’onia Coleman was selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, presented by the U.S. Marines, the conference office announced today. Morgan State’s Ashia McCalla earned Rookie of the Week honors, while Coppin State’s Chance Graham was named Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Coleman (5-10, G/F, Sr., Baltimore, Md.)
averaged 19.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 2.0 assists per game this past week, going a combined 17-for-39 (.436) from the floor and 7-for-9 (.777) from the free throw line. She had 17 points and six rebounds against Bethune-Cookman on Saturday, before turning in a 24-point, 13-rebound, three-steal, three-assist performance on Monday in a win over Florida A&M, going 10-for-21 from the floor.
 
McCalla (5-6, G, Fr., Greenbelt, Md.) shot over 50 percent from the floor in two games this past week, going a combined 12-for-22 (.545) from the floor while averaging 17.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. She had 16 points, six assists and three steals against Bethune-Cookman, going 6-for-10 from the floor, and she had six more field goals against Florida A&M – a game in which she had 18 points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals.
 
Graham (6-0, Jr., F, Upper Marlboro, Md.)
averaged 19.0 rebounds, 3.0 blocks and 2.0 steals per game this past week, and of her 38 total rebounds, 26 came on the defensive end. Graham racked up 22 rebounds – 15 defensive – against Florida A&M to go along with a career high-tying four blocks and three steals. She also had 16 rebounds, two blocks and a steal against Bethune-Cookman.

recorded double-doubles against Morgan State and Coppin State and had 13 rebounds in each game.
 
Camary Harris (B-CU) scored 10 points against Coppin State.
 
Amaya Scott (B-CU)
scored a career-high 23 points against Morgan State before recording her first career double-double (11 points, 11 rebounds) against Coppin State.
 
Jalynda Salley (CSU) grabbed 11 rebounds against Florida A&M.
 
NaJai Pollard (DSU) dropped 23 points against Howard on 7-for-12 shooting.
 
Mya Moye (FAMU) had 18 points against Morgan State.
 
Dy’Manee Royal (FAMU) grabbed eight boards and blocked five shots against Morgan State.
 
Candice Williams (FAMU) scored 17 points against Coppin State and 14 against Morgan State.
 
Imani Bryant (HOW)
grabbed 10 rebounds against Delaware State.
 
Sarah Edmond (HOW) dropped 20 points in a win over Delaware State.
 
Krislyn Marsh (HOW) grabbed 11 rebounds against Delaware State.
 
Ciani Byrom (MDES) had 17 points in a win over Howard, and recorded a double-double (11 points, 10 assists) against Norfolk State.
 
C’coriea Foy (NCAT) had 16 points and 10 steals against North Carolina Central.
 
Taylor Brown (SCSU) had 18 points, nine rebounds and four steals against Savannah State.
