MEAC Announces Weekly Cross Country Honors

NORFOLK, Va., Sept. 19, 2018—Florida A&M junior David Too was named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week, the conference office announced today. Florida A&M junior Emmax Kiplagat was named Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.
 
Too (Jr., Eldoret, Kenya) took individual gold this past weekend in the Montevallo Falcon Invitational, completing the 8K course in a MEAC-best 24:21.89. He paced six Rattlers who finished in the top eight of the individual standings, which helped lead FAMU to the team title in a field of 25 squads.
 
Kiplagat (Jr., Eldoret, Kenya) ran an 18:11.73 at the Montevallo Falcon Invitational, coming in third overall in a field of nearly 180 runners. She paced three Lady Rattlers who finished in the top 20, and FAMU wound up fourth in the women’s team standings.

Deja Davis (B-CU)
ran a 20:30.89 to pace the Lady Wildcats in the Embry-Riddle Spikes Classic.
 
Daniel Kiptoo (B-CU) came in second in the Embry-Riddle Spikes Classic, finishing the 8K course in 26:22.18.
