TEMPE, Ariz.--Four teams and 23 tennis student-athletes from the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) earned Intercollegiate Tennis Assocation (ITA) All-Academic honors on Tuesday, when the governing body released its 2018 All-Academic Teams and Scholar-Athletes.
Both of Morgan State's tennis squads, as well as both of North Carolina Central's teams, were named All-Academic.

The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale). All varsity letterwinners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year.
In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete statu,s a player must meet the following criteria: 1) be a varsity letterwinner, 2) have a GPA of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year, and 3) have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters (including freshman through senior year).
Between the ITA's five divisions (Div. I, Div. II, Div. III, NAIA and JUCO), a total of 735 teams and 4,328 student-athletes were honored.
