MEAC Announces Head Coach/Student-Athlete Lineup For Football Press Luncheon

The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) has announced its list of student-athlete attendees for the 2018 MEAC Football Media Day and luncheon on Friday, July 27 at the Hilton Norfolk The Main Hotel (100 E. Main Street, Norfolk, Va. 23510/ (757) 763-6200). The luncheon and media day will be held inside the hotel’s fourth floor ballrooms.

Twenty student-athletes and head football coaches from the MEAC’s 10 football playing institutions will kick off the 2018 football season. ESPN college football analyst, MEAC Hall of Famer and former Howard University quarterback Jay Walker along with College Football Hall of Famer and former SC State head coach Willie Jeffries will serve as co-master of ceremonies for the third consecutive year.

A limited number of tickets are available to the public for the press luncheon and can be purchased by calling the MEAC Office at (757) 951-2055. Tickets are $30 per seat or $300 per table (10 persons) and can be purchased at the MEAC Office, online or at the door.

Media members may obtain a credential for the luncheon and/or one-on-one interviews by completing an application found on www.MEACSports.com. One-on-one interviews will begin promptly at 9 a.m. followed by the luncheon at noon.

The media portion of Friday’s festivities will be streamed live on MEACSPORTS.com.

The 2018 MEAC football season kicks off on Saturday, Aug. 25 as North Carolina A&T State will face Jacksonville State in the Guardian Credit Union FCS Kickoff in Montgomery, Ala. Live on ESPN.

The 14th annual MEAC/SWAC Football Challenge, featuring North Carolina Central versus Prairie View A&M of the SWAC, will be shown live on ESPN2 at 12 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 2. Details and ticket information can be found on www.meacswacchallenge.com.
