COLUMBIA, S.C. -  Former South Carolina State football and basketball standout Sam “Herc” Goodwin was recognized with a Resolution by the South Carolina Senate on Tuesday, May 8 congratulating him on his pending induction (May 14, 2018) into the South Carolina Athletic Hall of Fame, his athletic achievements at his alma mater and contributions to the Columbia and surrounding communities as pastor of Stedfast Christian Center.

The resolution was introduced by Senator Darrell Jackson (D-Richland) and presented to Goodwin by Sen. Jackson and Senator Floyd Nicholson (D-Greenwood).
