WEEKLY NOTES
• MEAC softball begins week 11 as only three weeks remain in the regular season and leaders are emerging.
• The Hampton Lady Pirates and the Florida A&M Lady Rattlers were predicted to win the MEAC softball Northern and Southern Divisions, respectively. Florida A&M has won four consecutive MEAC Championships while Hampton has two championships all-time.
• Morgan State is in the Northern Division driver’s seat as they claimed two games over Delaware State last week as the finale was rained out. The Lady Bears own a one-game lead over Hampton and are two games ahead of Coppin State and Delaware State.
• Florida A&M’s sweep over South Carolina State puts them in prime position for their second straight MEAC Southern Division Championship. Despite Florida A&M’s postseason domiance, the Lady Rattlers have not won back-to-back division titles since the 1990s. With only three games left in league play, the Lady Rattlers can clinch outright next weekend if Bethune-Cookman drops two or more games next weekend. They can clinch a share of the title if BCU drops one game.

• In MEAC games only, Hampton’s Allyson Babinsack has a 1.26 ERA followed by Bethune-Cookman’s Destiny Enquirez (1.61) and Florida A&M’s Kyaira Brown (2.00).
