NORFOLK, Va., April 16, 2018—Savannah State University will host the 2018 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Men’s Golf Championship Thursday-Saturday, April 19-21, 2018 at the Crosswinds Golf Club in Savannah, Ga.
The championship will feature three-time defending champion Augusta University, along with Bethune-Cookman, Florida A&M, Hampton, Maryland Eastern Shore, North Carolina A&T State, North Carolina Central and Savannah State. The winner will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Div. I Men’s Golf Championship.
The three-round championship will be played over the course of three days, beginning on Thursday, April 19 at 7:30 a.m. with the opening round. The final round will tee off at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 21. Pairings will be announced on Wednesday, April 19 and live scoring will be available through GolfStat.
The NCAA Div. I Men’s Golf Selection Show will air on Wednesday, May 2 at 5:30 p.m. on Golf Channel.
The Crosswinds Golf Club is a unique par-72 course with narrow fairways that features five par-5s and five par-3s, along with TiFeagle greens and Bermuda fairways.
