2018 NCAA Bowling Bracket
2018 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) bowling champion North Carolina A&T State is among the six teams that will head to St. Louis, Mo. for the National Collegiate Women’s Bowling Championship, the NCAA announced on Wednesday.
The Aggies, who defeated Maryland Eastern Shore this past Sunday to earn the MEAC’s automatic bid, earned the No. 6 seed and will open play against No. 3 seed Arkansas State on Thursday, April 12.
This will be NCAT’s second NCAA appearance, having last competed in 2016.
Nebraska will be the tournament’s top seed, with defending national champion McKendree earning the No. 2 seed.
Teams were seeded and placed into the bracket, with two spots being determined after the completion of the opening-round matches (Lincoln Memorial hosting Texas Southern and St. Francis (Pa.) hosting Bowie State on Friday, April 6).
The championship bracket will be a double-elimination, with each round consisting of a best-of-three match that includes the use of three team game formats: baker total pinfall, five-person team match and a best-of-seven baker match play.
The champion will be determined using a best-of-seven baker match play.
The championship final will air at 6:30 p.m. ET, Saturday, April 14 on ESPNU and at 7 p.m. ET, Sunday, April 15 on ESPN2.
