NORFOLK, Va., Feb. 20, 2018—
North Carolina A&T State freshman Ana Olaya and
Norfolk State redshirt junior Alexa Rodriguez were named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Co-Bowlers of the Week, the conference office announced today.
Olaya (Fr., Bogota, Colombia) bowled a career-high 236 in the Stormin’ Ladyjacks Classic hosted by Stephen F. Austin (a tournament that featured eight top-10 teams), capping a weekend in which she averaged 207.4 pins in team play and had four games in the 200s. She also bowled a 235 against Maryland Eastern Shore, key in the Aggies’ win over the defending MEAC champion.
Rodriguez (r-Jr., Carolina, Puerto Rico) averaged 208.2 pins in team play at the James Brown Invitational, eclipsing the 200-pin mark in four of those five games. She bowled a weekend-best 225, tying her season best, against Coppin State, before turning in a 224 against Chestnut Hill.

Shykeia Spinks (HOW) averaged 186.4 pins at the James Brown Invitational, cowling a weekend-best 211 against Wilmington.
Jacqueline Rhoda (MDES) averaged 200.20 pins at the Stormin’ Ladyjacks Classic hosted by Stephen F. Austin, including a weekend-best 213.
Diamond Hunter (MSU) averaged 187.2 pins in traditional team play and bowled a 202 against Fairleigh Dickinson.
