NORFOLK, Va., Dec. 4, 2018—Bethune-Cookman senior Angel Golden and
North Carolina A&T State freshman Charme Lilly were selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Women’s Basketball Co-Players of the Week, the conference office announced today.
Howard’s Krislyn Marsh earned Rookie of the Week honors, while
Coppin State junior Chance Graham was named Defensive Player of the Week.
Golden (G, 5-8, Sr., Tampa, Fla.) recorded her first career double-double in a road win over Jacksonville, racking up 21 points and 10 rebounds. She scored the Wildcats’ first 11 points of the game, and she currently sits 52 points shy of 1,000 for her career. On top of eight field goals and two 3-pointers, she also had three steals on the defensive end.
Lilly (G, 5-6, Fr., Midlothian, Va.) was a perfect 5-for-5 from 3-point range in the Aggies’ road win over Western Carolina – their first win over a Div. I opponent this season. She was 6-for-7 from the floor overall, scoring a team-high 17 points to lead four Aggies in double figures.
Marsh (F, 6-0, Fr., Duncanville, Texas) averaged 18.0 points and 8.5 rebounds per game in helping the Bison to two wins this past week, going a combined 17-for-24 (.708) from the floor. She dropped 26 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in a win over George Mason, before adding 10 points on 5-for-6 shooting in a win over Niagara. She also had a blocked shot in that contest.
Graham (F, 6-0, Jr., Upper Marlboro, Md.) totaled 18 rebounds in two games this past week – an average of nine per game – and 12 of those came on the defensive end. She also averaged 2.5 steals per contest. Against Marshall, she grabbed 10 rebounds – eight defensive – and had three steals – and she had an eight-rebound, two-steal effort at Virginia.

Chasimmie Brown (B-CU) grabbed eight rebounds against Jacksonville.
Kiana Williams (B-CU) had 11 points, six rebounds, five assists and four steals against Jacksonville.
Jalynda Salley (CSU) had eight points and 12 rebounds against Virginia.
NaJai Pollard (DSU) had 25 points and seven rebounds at St. John’s.
Jasmine Ballew (FAMU) had 14 points and six rebounds against Edward Waters.
Candice Williams (FAMU) dropped 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds against Edward Waters.
Jayla Thornton (HOW) had 19 points against Niagara and hit eight 3-pointers in wins over George Mason and Niagara.
Adre’onia Coleman (MSU) had 13 points and eight rebounds against Western Kentucky.
Ashia McCalla (MSU) scored eight points each against Western Kentucky and FIU.
Rayven Peeples (NCAT) had 13 points, 11 rebounds and three steals against Western Carolina.
