Howard's Ezzard Tabbed CFPA FCS National Performer of the Week

CHARLESTON, S.C., Oct. 15, 2018 – The College Football Performance Awards (CFPA) uncovered its top performers from Week 7 in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS), where Howard University junior wide receiver Jequez Ezzard (College Park, Ga.) was tabbed CFPA FCS National Performer of the Week for his remarkable efforts in the 55-13 victory over Delaware State at Greene Stadium.

The announcement came Monday morning.
 
The third-year wideout torched the Hornets' secondary, registering 191 receiving yards on four catches with three touchdowns. As a result, he became the first Bison in school history to produce back-to-back three touchdown games.
 
Nationally, Ezzard is among the top deep threats in the country, ranking top 10 in several categories, including receiving yards per game (1st), yards per reception (1st), receiving TDs (3rd) and all-purpose yards (7th).
 
On the season, he has 28 catches for 737 receiving yards and eight touchdowns.
 
Other notable performances throughout the nation included quarterbacks Harris Roberts (Furman), Devlin Hodges (Samford), Kurt Rawlings (Yale) and Eli Dunne (Northern Iowa).
