NORFOLK, Va. - The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference announced that two student-athletes will be suspended from tonight’s women’s basketball games resulting from a fourth quarter physical altercation during the Norfolk State-South Carolina State contest in Orangeburg, S.C. on Jan. 20.
Thus, the Norfolk State student-athlete is ineligible for Monday’s contest at Savannah State while the South Carolina State student-athletes will sit out the contest against Hampton on Monday.
The conference will have no further comments regarding this matter.
