Norfolk State junior Briana Gardner was selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Bowler of the Week, the conference announced today.
Gardner (5-9, Jr., Stone Mountain, Ga.) averaged 189.2 pins this past weekend in the James Brown Invitational hosted by Morgan State. It was the 13th-best average of the tournament, and Gardner was the event’s highest-ranked MEAC bowler. Her best mark of the weekend was a 279 against Saint Francis (N.Y.), which was the second-highest score of her career and third-highest in program history.

Mya Hamlett (CSU) averaged 160 pins in the James Brown Invitational, including a weekend-best 192 against Wilmington.
