MEAC Announces Elise Hillman as Director of Multimedia

NORFOLK, Va., Dec. 1, 2017 – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) announces the hiring of Elise Hillman as the new Director of Multimedia and Marketing Coordinator.

“We are pleased to have Ms. Hillman join the MEAC team and look forward to her becoming a valued member of our conference,” MEAC Commissioner Dennis E. Thomas said. “Hillman brings excellent experience in the social media and marketing areas.”

Hillman will be responsible for the overall management of marketing, social media platforms, and promotional activities of the conference, its 16 sponsored sports/15 athletic championships and 13 member institutions. Hillman will also serve as the liaison to the institutions’ athletic marketing staffs.

A Chesapeake, Va. native, Hillman is a 2007 honors graduate of Hampton University, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management. At Hampton, Hillman worked in the sports information office and athletic department from 2003-07.

Hillman has always been an advocate for the MEAC; she served as the conference’s public and media relations intern during the 2005 MEAC Basketball Tournament.

Prior to joining the MEAC, Hillman worked as CEO of Hillman LLC; a sports and entertainment consulting business which provides event planning, public relations, marketing, brand development, and management services to various clients in entertainment, the NFL and NBA.  Hillman’s motto is “Another day, another opportunity.”
