The Athletic -- Celebration Bowl: A Perfect Name, A Perfect Game
The third annual Celebration Bowl took place in the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Ga. this past Saturday, with North Carolina A&T State defeating Grambling State 21-14 to claim the first undefeated season for a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) football team in the conference's history.
The Celebration Bowl, which has been broadcast live on ABC in each of its three years of existence, pits in the champions of the MEAC and the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) against each other in the first game of the college football bowl season.
