NORFOLK, Va., Oct. 24, 2017—Florida A&M freshman Keondra Eaton was named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Bowler of the Week, the conference office announced today.
Eaton (Fr., Baton Rouge, La.) averaged 206.4 pins in her first collegiate tournament this past weekend in the AllState Sugar Bowl invitational hosted by Tulane. In helping the Rattlers to an 8-5 record for the weekend, Eaton had three games in the 200s – including a 244 against Southern. She also bowled a 205 against Texas Southern and a 203 against Valparaiso.
Other Top Performers
Kiersten Bateman (MSU) averaged 190.0 pins, the highest individual average at the Hampton Roads Invitational, with a high of 230 against Bowie State.
Alexa Rodriguez (NSU) had the second-highest individual average at the Hampton Roads Invitational with 188.7 pins and bowled a weekend-high 201 against Morgan State.
