NORFOLK, Va., Oct. 17, 2017—Delaware State senior Elizabeth Burkholder was named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Bowler of the Week, the conference office announced today.
Burkholder (5-6, Sr., Lancaster, Pa.) averaged 215.0 pins this past weekend in helping Delaware State to a 9-1 record in the Bud Whitman Memorial hosted by Kutztown University. She had the fourth-highest individual average of the tournament, among 116 bowlers, and she had game highs of 264, against LIU Brooklyn, and 253, against St. Francis (Pa.). Her 264 was the second-highest single game score of the weekend.

Nia Turner (CSU) rolled a weekend-best 203 against St. Francis (Pa.) and averaged 182 at the Bud Whitman Memorial.
T’ea Lewis (HOW) averaged 186.4 at the Bud Whitman Memorial, rolling three 200 games – including a 206 against St. Francis (Pa.).
