Delaware State junior Amber MacLeod and Maryland Eastern Shore sophomore Jacqueline Rhoda were selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Co-Bowlers of the Week, the conference announced today.
MacLeod (5-6, Jr., Brick, N.J.) helped Delaware State finish second in the Kutztown Invitational this past weekend, in a field that included 17 nationally-ranked teams. The Lady Hornets advanced to the championship match, and MacLeod averaged 205.5 pins per game.
Rhoda (5-6, So., Portage, Ind.) was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Kutztown Invitational this past weekend after averaging 211.17 per game in helping Maryland Eastern Shore to a sixth-place finish in the 26-team field. She was ninth among the field of 167 bowlers, and her game high was 245.
Other Top Performers
Krysta Coleman (BCU): Averaged 188.5 pins at the Kutztown Invitational, and had a hand in wins over nationally-ranked Fairleigh Dickinson and St. Francis (N.Y.).
Kristin Shinn (NCAT): Earned All-Tournament Team honors at the Kutztown Invitational, averaging 225.5 pins per game and winding up third on the individual leaderboard.
Alexa Rodriguez (NSU): Averaged 204.7 pins for the weekend at the Kutztown Invitational, including a weekend-best 231 against LIU Brooklyn.
