LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Hampton University volleyball team dropped a pair of matches on Saturday to close out the Liberty Invitational falling to the host Flames (25-6, 25-17, 25-17) and to USC Upstate (25-20, 25-21, 25-23).
Sophomore Reeana Richardson was named to the All-Tournament team after a weeked performance where she had 28 kills, 19 digs, one ace in the three matches.   She recorded a season high 14 kills and nine digs in the loss to USC Upstate.

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. — Although the Maryland Eastern Shore volleyball team won in straight sets (25-21, 25-17, 25-22) over Rider Saturday night, the match was anything but easy. The Hawks fought thru several challenges by the Broncs to earn their second straight victory.
Lucia Babic, a senior from Sisak Croatia, had a big day for Eastern Shore leading the way with 11 kills on 18 attacks (50-percent).
Mere Serea and sophomore Marta Klafuric put up near identical lines on the attack converting eight kills against one error on 13 chances each (53-percent). Serea added a pair of blocks and Klafuric had one.
Freshman Ivan Blazevic led with 34 assists and converted all five of her attacks, while Sophomore Zuzana Ondruskova had 10 digs.
