LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Coppin State head women's bowling coach Shaunita Middleton will compete at the USBC Women's Championships in Las Vegas, Nev. this weekend beginning on Friday, June 17th at 7 p.m. (ET).
Middleton heads out to Las Vegas for the USBC Women's Championships and will compete on Friday at 7 p.m. (ET) and on Saturday at 3 p.m. (ET). The tournament runs until July 10th.
"I'm excited to have the opportunity to compete in this tournament," stated Middleton. "This experience will afford me more insight as a coach moving into the 2016-17 season. During the championships, I'll be able to speak with highly trained professionals about the latest technology and new equipment to be released in the coming months that will benefit the Coppin State women's bowling program and student athletes. At the same time I'll be looking to network with other coaches as we discuss various ways to continue to grow the sport of women's collegiate bowling. My competitiveness will display this weekend speaks on my style of coaching that will transition into the season and level of play and mental toughness that I will expect of my bowlers," she finished.
The USBC Open Championships is widely recognized as the largest participatory sporting event in the world.
