ORLANDO, FL. -- Alvaro Barrera registered the lone Bethune-Cookman win as the University of Central Florida posted a 6-1 decision Thursday afternoon.

Barrera, a junior, improved to a team best 14-5 on the season.

The Wildcats (10-11) dropped their second straight while UCF improved to 9-11 with the Senior Day win.

Bethune-Cookman now turns its attention to a Saturday at Florida A&M that will go a long way in determining the No. 1 seed at the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference tournament April 21-23 in Norfolk, Va. FAMU is 3-0 in league play, while B-CU is 2-1.
