NORFOLK, Va. – South Carolina State junior guard Eric Eaves was named to the BOXTOROW HBCU All-America Second Team, announced by BOXTOROW.com on Monday.

The BOXTOROW All-America team consists of players from HBCU’s across all of Division I.

Eaves was also selected to the NABC Division I All-District Second Team and All-MEAC Second Team. Additionally, he earned MEAC All-Tournament honors this season. He led the Bulldogs in scoring with 17.1 ppg (513 points), while shooting over .517% (167-of-323) from the field. He scored 20 or more points in 12 games and tossed in a career-high 35 points in the home-finale against Bethune-Cookman (3/3/16).

James Daniel III of Howard and Derrick Griffin of Texas Southern were named the co-players of the year, while Tennessee State head coach Dana Ford took home the coach of the year award.
