DOVER, Del.—The Delaware State softball team (13-14, 6-2 MEAC) continued its stellar play of late Saturday afternoon by ousting the visiting Coppin State Eagles (2-21, 2-6 MEAC) by combining to bat .556 with 33 runs, 30 hits, 27 RBI and four homers to pull off a pair of five-inning victories, 18-2 and 15-5.
Coming up, DSU will aim to sweep the season series with the Eagles tomorrow afternoon (12 p.m.) for the fourth consecutive year.

In game two, DSU once again matched a season-high in hits (15), led by Nicole Gazzola going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs scored and three RBI. Gazzola also added another stolen base to her MEAC-high total of 22. Chloe Oro, Rochelle Sablay, Haley Jones and Khaliyah Flournory all tallied two hits, while Flournory also scored three times. Washington, on the other hand, drew a game-high three walks.
In the circle, Brock (6-4) tossed three innings, allowing seven hits, one earned run, no walks and totaling one K to pick up the win, whereas Tara Tursellino allowed no earned runs, a walk and fanned two Eagle batters in relief.
