LUTHERVILLE, Md. – With a loss, the Lady Hawks fall to 0-4 overall while the Greyhounds moved to 8-4 on the season.
In singles competition, senior Melequa King (Forestville, Md.) served as the squad’s No. 1 and battled Loyola’s Megan Hahn. The Maryland native took multiple games before falling in straight sets (6-2, 6-2).
Sophomore Alese Brown scored a point against the Greyhound’s No. 2 player, Amanda Lanciano, but also fell in two sets (6-1, 6-0).
In doubles play, both Lady Hawks tagged team and faced Loyola’s Lanciano and Ania Krawiec. The duo won a game before dropping the match, 6-1.
Tomorrow (April 2), Maryland Eastern Shore returns home where in-state rival Coppin State awaits. First-serve is scheduled for 3 p.m.
