NORFOLK, Va. —Savannah State University will host its 2016 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Men’s Golf Championship April 21-23 at Crosswinds Golf Club in Savannah, Ga.
The championship will feature defending tournament champion Augusta University, Bethune-Cookman, Florida A&M, Hampton, Maryland Eastern Shore, North Carolina Central and Savannah State. The winner receives an automatic qualification to the NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Championship.
The three-round championship will be played over a three-day period, beginning Thursday, April 21 at 8:00 a.m. with the opening round. The final round will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 23. Pairings will be announced on Thursday, April 21 and live scoring will be available during the match. The NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Selection Show will air Thursday, May 5 at 9:30 a.m. on the Golf Channel.
The Crosswinds Golf Club is a unique par-72 course with narrow fairways and features five par 5s and five par 3s, along with TiFeagle greens and Bermuda fairways.
