ORLANDO, Fla. – The Hampton University men's tennis team dropped a 7-0 match on Tuesday afternoon to South Dakota State University on its annual Spring Break trip in Florida.
In doubles, Hampton won at No. 3 doubles as Charles Hudson and Miguel Suarez won a 7-5 decision over Chuck Tang and Lucas Periera for the only Hampton win in the match. South Dakota State took the doubles point by winning a 7-6 (7-5) decision at No. 1 doubles. In singles, the Pirates fell in straight sets in each match.
After a day off on Wednesday, Hampton will face Bethune-Cookman on Thursday at 2 pm.
