PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – Due to last night’s inclement weather and today’s rainy forecast, Maryland Eastern Shore’s Softball Head Coach Sam Douglas and Delaware State’s Softball Head Coach Amber Jackson have agreed to move Sunday’s (March 20) rubber match to Tuesday, March 22 at 4 p.m. The series finale will take place at Hawks Field.

Yesterday (March 19), both squads split their conference openers. UMES (6-14) rallied from a 3-1 deficit and scored three times in the sixth to take game one, 4-3; thus, snapping an eight-game slide against the Lady Hornets.

In the nightcap, Maryland Eastern Shore attempted another late comeback, but the Lady Hornets (8-13) held on to win, 7-4.
