Hawks Struggle At The Legacy Intercollegiate
LONGWOOD, Fla. – After nearly three months away from the fairways, the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) Men’s Golf were unable to regain their rhythm as they finished 14th at The Legacy Intercollegiate, Powered by Frontier Secure. The event took place at The Legacy Club at Alaqua Lakes (Par 72 7160 yards).
Despite not the outcome they were looking for, Maryland Eastern Shore did have a few bright spots. Overall, the club shot a 961 (+97) over the two-day tournament. As a result, the Hawks had the third-lowest round in a three-round, 54-hole event in the program’s Division I history.
Senior Norman Blanco had the best performances among the Hawks in this event. The Louisiana product shot a 228 (+12), which is tied for the third-best individual average in a 54-hole event.
