NORFOLK, Va. – Bethune-Cookman’s Alexandra Vidal was chosen as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week, the conference announced today. Jose Plazas, also of Bethune-Cookman, was selected as the Men’s Tennis Rookie of the Week.

Vidal (So., Maracaibo, Venezuela) finished the week with a 2-1 record, including 2-0 at the No. 5 position in singles, against Campbell and Embry-Riddle. Also, she earned a pair of doubles victories.

Plazas (Fr., Bogota, Colombia) recorded a come-from-behind victory in the deciding match to lift the Wildcats past Campbell, 4-3. He defeated Jonathan O’Neal, 6-7, 6-4, 6-4.
