Pirates Drop 7-0 Decision To Nationally-Ranked ODU

NORFOLK, VA. – The Hampton University men’s tennis team lost a 7-0 decision on Friday night to #55 Old Dominion University at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center at Old Dominion.

In doubles, the No. 3 tandem of Charles Hudson and Miguel Suarez took the match to a tiebreaker but lost 7-6 (7-5) to Darragh Glavin and Sam Perelman.  

Fedor Shirin (No. 3) and Charles Hudson (No. 5) lost their singles matches 6-2, 6-3, while Peter Odegbami fell at #2 singles 6-1, 6-3.

Hampton will now head to Williamsburg for a 4 pm match on Sunday against The College of William & Mary.
