MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — The Howard women's basketball team tried to claw its way back but fell short to Robert Morris, 59-42, on Sunday afternoon at the Charles L. Sewall Center. 

Freshman Imani Bryant led the Bison on offense and defense with 11 points and a career-high 19 rebounds, making it back-to-back games with a double-double for the rookie. She made 5-of-8 field goals to shoot 62.5 percent. 

Redshirt senior Te'Shya Heslip added 10 points for her seventh straight game in double digits. She also had a team-high five steals and three assists. Redshirt junior Erin Blaine tallied eight points and six boards, while senior Sydni Johnson posted seven points.

East Carolina 66, Maryland Eatern Shore 58

GREENVILLE, N.C. — Despite a game-high 23-point performance from sophomore guard Ciani Byrom, the Hawks unable to come away with the victory as they lost to East Carolina (ECU), 66-58, inside the Minges Coliseum.

Byrom went 7-of-15 from the field and made nine foul shots. The North Carolina native also grabbed five boards and dished out three helpers in the loss.
Other Hawk performances included sophomore guard Keyera Eaton recording 14 points on 50-percent (5-of-10) shooting from the floor. Center Tori Morris added eight points and a team-high six rebounds in a losing effort.

Charleston Southern 67, South Carolina State 62

CHARLESTON, S.C. — After being down by 21 points at the beginning of the fourth quarter, the South Carolina State women's basketball team rallied to get within three points (65-62) with four seconds left in the game, but ended up falling 67-62 at Charleston Southern on Sunday at the Buc Dome.

Jahmia Bradley had career-highs of 24 points and 12 rebounds for SC State. She was 5-of-11 from the field in the contest and went 13-for-15 from the free throw line. At one point in the game, Bradley connected on 10 straight free throws.

Bryeasha Blair also finished with 24 points and added six rebounds, five steals and four assists in 40 minutes. Brittany Drumgoole and JaQuanna Murray had five and four points, respectively.
