HARRISONBURG, Va. — Malia Tate-DeFreitas and Kaylah Lupoe each recorded double-doubles for Hampton on Friday night but the Lady Pirates dropped a 71-50 decision to James Madison at the JMU Convocation Center.

Tate-DeFreitas finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Lupoe added 17 and 12 boards to lead Hampton.   Jephany Brown was next with eight points and a season-high three blocked shots.  As a team, Hampton was 17-of-63 from the floor (27.0 percent), 2-of-11 from 3-point range (18.2 percent) and 14-of-27 from the line (51.9 percent).

Dayton 61, Morgan State 42

DAYTON, Ohio — Kelley Austria scored a game-high 15 points and Alex Harris came off the bench for Dayton to record a game-high 11 rebounds, eight points, a game-high four blocked shots and added two steals to help the Dayton Flyers defeat visiting Morgan State, 61-42 on Friday night at UD Arena.

Morgan State was led by Braennan Farrar, who finished with 11 points and tied both Chelsea Mitchell and Jayde Duncan with a team-high seven rebounds. Farrar also led the team with three assists and two steals, which both tied for game highs. Jihayah Chavis finished with eight points and Duncan added seven points, including her first career three-pointer and a team-high two blocked shots.
