DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Angel Golden scored a career-high 19 points, and Kendra Cooper's jumper with six seconds remaining lifted Bethune-Cookman to a 52-50 victory over North Florida Thursday afternoon at the ICI Center.

Golden, a sophomore, connected on five three-pointers to help the Lady Wildcats (3-6) remain unbeaten at their home-away-from home while Moore Gym is being renovated. Cooper and Kailyn Williams each scored seven, and Lyndsey Edwards left Bethune-Cookman with seven rebounds.

Hampton 72, Richmond 45

HAMPTON, Va. — A blistering second half shooting for Hampton University helped the Lady Pirates pull away Thursday night for a 72-45 win over Richmond in front of 1,234 at the HU Convocation Center.

K’Lynn Willis was the leading scorer for Hampton on the night with a season-high 17 points to lead three in double figures.   Kaylah Lupoe added 16 points, seven rebounds and a season-high four blocked shots, while Monnazjea Finney-Smith had 10 points and four rebounds.  The win for Hampton (5-5) was its fifth in the last six games.
