SAVANNAH, Ga. — Graduate student guard Lauren “Gaby” Moss led Savannah State University women’s basketball team with 15 points and seven rebounds as the Lady Tigers (2-4) fell to Jacksonville University (5-2) 55-40 Tuesday night in Tiger Arena to begin a three-game home stand.

Senior center Caprisha Treadwell added nine points on 4-for-7 shooting with two rebounds in 10 minutes, while junior guard Lauryn Fields and junior guard Kierstan Green each added four points and senior forward Jeremica Edwards added four rebounds and three points.

Maryland Eastern Shore 60, UNC-Greensboro 53

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. — With 6:16 left in the game, the UNCG Spartans held a 53-47 advantage until Maryland Eastern Shore went into another gear as they closed out the contest on a 13-0 run to win, 60-53, inside the William P. Hytche Athletic Center.

Guard Moengaroa Subritzky earned her first double-double of the season, posting 14 points and 11 rebounds. Center Tori Morris also registered 14 points and collected seven boards in the victory.
Other notable Hawk performances included Ciani Byrom with an all-around performance. The North Carolina native finished with 12 points, eight dimes, and five rebounds in 32 minutes of action. On the defensive end, Eaton and the Hawks held UNCG’s top scorer to under double-figures.
