BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Delaware State sophomore forward Najai Pollard was on course for a school record-setting game to help the Lady Hornets build a double-digit lead, but was straddled by foul trouble and Lehigh took advantage in a 91-80 victory over DSU in a women's basketball contest at Stabler Arena today. Pollard finished with a career-high 38 points, tying for the third-best single-game total in team history. Pollard also led all players with 12 rebounds to record her second double-double of the season and 10th in 32 collegiate games. Mikah Aldridge was the only other Delaware State player in double figures with a season-high 16 points. She also led all players with four steals. Delaware State had a season-best 43.7-percent field goal percentage (31-for-71), but was outshot by Lehigh, which hit 27-of-55 shots from the floor (49.1-percent), including 11-of-23 from three-point range (47.8-percent).

RALEIGH, N.C. – Homestanding N.C. State opened the second half hitting 6-of-7 from 3-point range to score an 81-56 win over Hampton on Wednesday night in Reynolds Coliseum.
Malia Tate-DeFreitas, who shared leading scorer honors with Monnazjea Finney-Smith with 16 points, became the school’s all-time Division I scoring leader.
For the game, Hampton was 22-of-62 from the field (35.5-percent), 4-of-15 from 3-point range (26.7-percent) and 8-of-14 from the foul line (57.1-percent). Jephany Brown added eight points and was the leading rebounder for Hampton with six.

George Washington 77, Coppin State 46

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Senior guards Keena Samuels and Vanessa Neal both scored in double figures against George Washington in a 77-46 loss on Wednesday, Nov. 11th in the Charles E. Smith Center.
Coppin State (0-3) scored a season-high 46 points, made 17 field goals with two 3-pointers against the Colonials. The Eagles also converted on 56-percent (10-of-18) from the free-throw line, made 11 steals and blocked four shots.
Samuels was the Eagles top scorer with a season-high 17 points with six rebounds and four assists. She picked up the scoring in the second half with ten points on a pair of made three-pointers. Neal had a career-night with 12 points, five rebounds in 35 minutes played. She went 5-for-12 from the field and added an assist and a steal. Freshman Chance Graham scored six points, grabbed six rebounds and recorded a pair of blocked shots.

No. 5/6 Maryland 106, Maryland Eastern Shore 61

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – In their first road test of the season, Coach Fred Batchelor and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore Women’s Basketball team battled to the very end as they fell to No. 6/5 Maryland, 106-61, inside the XFINITY Center.
Despite winning the turnover battle and getting to the charity stripe, Maryland’s inside game would be the biggest difference. The Shore were outscored in the paint 72-22 and the Terps outrebounded the Maroon & Gray 61-25.
Sophomore guard Ciani Byrom led the way with a team-high 14 points and three dimes. Senior Mariah McCoy chipped in 10 points in a losing effort.
Other notable Hawk performances included Keyera Eaton and Tori Morris, each with nine points. Juniors Shauntesha Bryant and Alexus Hicks added seven points in the loss.
