Lady Wildcats Place 18th at FDU New Jersey Jamboree

ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. – Bethune-Cookman Bowling concluded the second tournament of the season on Sunday afternoon, finishing up play in the three-day FDU New Jersey Jamboree at Parkway Lanes. The event was hosted by Fairleigh Dickinson.

Bethune-Cookman (8-18) took part in two bracket matches on Sunday, both played in Baker format.

Entering the day in 20th place, the Wildcats began the day with a match against No. 17 Kutztown. B-CU claimed a 4-2 decision over KU, moving on to the next elevation of the bracket.

The final match of the weekend for the Maroon and Gold was a 4-3 setback in a seven-game thriller against Felician University. That allowed Bethune-Cookman to finish 18th overall for the tournament.

LIU-Brooklyn finished as the team champion, defeating Sacred Heart by a 4-2 count in the title match.

On the opening day of the tournament in Baker play, Bethune-Cookman went 2-4 overall, followed by a 2-3 record in traditional games the following morning.

B-CU senior Krysta Coleman finished amongst the top 25 bowlers in the tournament after supplying a pair of 200-plus performances for the Cats in traditional games on Saturday.

Bethune-Cookman gets back to action November 4-6, traveling to the Track Kat Klash in Houston. Sam Houston State is the host of the event.
