MEAC ANNOUNCES WEEKLY VOLLEYBALL HONORS

NORFOLK, Va.Howard junior Khaila Donaldson was selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Volleyball Player of the Week, the conference announced today. Howard’s Tamia Dockery earned Setter of the Week honors, while Morgan Marlbrough, of Howard, was selected Defensive Specialist of the Week. Bethune-Cookman’s Alana Handy was named Rookie of the Week.

Donaldson (OH, 5-11, Jr., Vernon Hills, Ill.) averaged 16.5 kills per match and 4.71 kills per set in victories over Maryland Eastern Shore and Delaware State. She became the all-time program leader with 1,146 kills in the four-set victory over Maryland Eastern Shore.

Dockery (S, 5-8, So., Richmond, Texas) totaled 81 assists, 23 digs, seven kills and one block against Maryland Eastern Shore and Delaware State. She tallied a double-double of 53 assists and 16 digs against Maryland Eastern Shore.

Marlbrough (LB, 5-4, Sr., Mandeville, La.) averaged 4.85 digs per set and 17.0 digs per match in wins over Maryland Eastern Shore and Delaware State. She notched a match-high 22 digs to help Howard hold Maryland Eastern Shore to a .174 hitting percentage.

Handy (OH, 5-10, Fr., Burlington, Wash.) compiled 43 digs, 39 kills, one service ace, one assist and two solo blocks against Jacksonville, Savannah State and South Carolina State. She posted her fifth straight double-double, with a team-high 11 kills and 10 digs, in a win over South Carolina State.

Jill Aquino (NSU) tallied a career-high 49 assists in five sets against Coppin State.

Natashia Barker (MSU) notched a double-double, with a career-high 20 digs and 13 kills, in a win over Norfolk State.

Ivana Blazevic (MDES) averaged 8.75 assists per set against Howard and New Hampshire.

Melvina Brown (NSU) led the team with 18 digs against Morgan State.

Keana Browne (MSU) recorded a career-high seven blocks against Hampton

Phalen Clark (B-CU) notched a match-high 39 assists in the three-set win over Savannah State.

Elena Dimitrova (FAMU) averaged 35.0 assists per match and 11.6 assists per set in wins over Savannah State and South Carolina State.

Maria Yvette Garcia (FAMU) totaled 12 kills, three digs, one service ace and one solo block in a three-set victory against South Carolina State.

Jasmine Hubbard (MSU) totaled 33 digs, two service aces and two assists against Hampton and Norfolk State.

Dominique Ingram (SSU) hit .423, with 15 kills, in a four-set win over South Carolina State.

Jessica Johnson (NSU) tied a career-high 22 kills, in five sets, against Morgan State.

Rachel Kayongo (MDES) led the team with 15 kills against New Hampshire.

Micah Leavell (HAM) registered her first career double-double, with 12 kills and 10 digs, in a win over Morgan State.

Brianna Lilly (HAM) recorded a match-high 41 assists in the three-set win against Coppin State.

Ginna Lopez-Chavez (FAMU) hit .833, with 10 kills, three digs and two solo blocks, in a three-set victory over Savannah State.

Jasmine Lougheed (CSU) tallied a season-best 12 kills and 11 total blocks, with three digs, in a five-set win over Norfolk State.

Dominique Madarang (CSU) collected 67 assists against Norfolk State and Hampton.

Caitlynn Masoe (SSU) finished with 26 kills, 18 assists, 15 digs, two blocks and two service aces in four matches.

Koya Sowells (MDES) registered a match-high 14 digs against New Hampshire.

Asia Stennis (CSU) posted 23 kills, 15 digs, four total blocks, three service aces and two assists against Norfolk State and Hampton.

Roi Wallace (MSU) tallied a career-high 49 assists in the five-set win over Norfolk State.

Lena Washington (HAM) notched her first career double-double, with 10 kills and 12 digs, in a win over Morgan State.
