Former SSU Men's Basketball Standout Signs Pro Contract

SAVANNAH, Ga.- Former Savannah State University basketball player Lenjo Kilo has signed a professional contract to play with BBC Telstar Hesperange. The team is located in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg and competes in the N2 League.

Kilo, a 6-foot-8, 240-pound forward, played one season with the Tigers, after transferring from the University of District of Columbia. Before that, he played two seasons at Seton Hill University.

The Silver Springs, Md. native averaged 9.5 points a game and led the team in rebounds (5.5 per game) and blocks (25).

Kilo scored 23 points on Feb. 2, 2016 against Bethune-Cookman, grabbed 15 rebounds on Nov. 11, 2016 against North Carolina Central and had four blocks against Florida A&M on Mar. 3, 2016.

His play helped Savannah State to a 16-16 record and a trip to the semifinals of the MEAC Tournament. SSU received an invitation to host a game in the Collegeinsider.com Tournament.
