NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk State sophomore Briana Gardner was selected as Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Bowler of the Week, the conference announced today.

Gardner (So., Stone Mountain, Ga.) finished second, with a 215.2 total pinfall average, at the Frederick and Jean Underwood Classic. She rolled two 200-plus games, including a school record 289, in a win over Virginia State.

Other Top Performers: 

Danielle August (UMES) averaged a 205.2 total pinfall, with a 257 high-game against Wisconsin-Whitewater, at the Mid-Winter Invitational.

Trinity Yates (HOW) placed eighth at the Frederick and Jean Underwood Classic, with a 196.20 average pinfall.
