NORFOLK, Va. — Ed Stephens of South Carolina State and Quinton Chievous of Hampton were named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Co-Players of the Week, the conference announced today. Devin Morgan, of Delaware State, earned Rookie of the Week honors, while Morgan State’s Phillip Carr was named Defensive Player of the Week.
Stephens (G, 6-2, So., Columbia, S.C.) shot 58-percent (7-of-12) from the floor and 80-percent (4-of-5) at the free-throw line in a 91-75 victory over North Carolina Central. Also, he tallied 23 points, including five 3-pointers, with two rebounds, five assists and three steals in 26 minutes of play.
Chievous (G, 6-6, 215, Gr., Chicago, Ill.) averaged a double-double of 16.7 points and 11.3 rebounds against Princeton, Morgan State and Bethune-Cookman. He registered 28 points, on 11-of-19 shooting, 18 boards, three assists, one block and three steals in an 83-80 overtime win over Morgan State.
Morgan (G, 5-10, 180, Fr., Chester, Va.) totaled 30 points, 12 rebounds and six assists against Summit and Morgan State. He scored a career-high 27 points, shooting perfectly (10-of-10) from the charity stripe, against Morgan State.
Carr (F, 6-8, 200, So., Brooklyn, N.Y.) finished with 25 rebounds, five assists and six blocks against California State-Northridge, Hampton and Delaware State. Offensively, he notched a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds, with two assists and three blocks against Hampton.

Malcolm Bernard (FAMU) averaged 14.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists against Norfolk State and Savannah State.
Marcel Boyd (HOW) totaled 28 points, 20 rebounds and two blocks against Cornell and Coppin State.
Jordan Butler (NSU) finished with 11 points, 16 rebounds, two assists, five blocks and one steal against Princeton and Florida A&M.
Patrick Cole (NCCU) averaged 17.3 points, with 3.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists, against East Tennessee State, Johnson & Wales and South Carolina State.
James Daniel, III (HOW) averaged 25.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 2.0 steals against Cornell and Coppin State.
Dominique Elliot (UMES) notched 21 points, six rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in 38 minutes of play against Columbia.
Kalin Fisher (HAM) posted 14 points, three boards and one block in an 83-80 overtime win over Morgan State.
Terry Harris Jr. (CSU) shot 54.5-percent (6-of-11) from the floor and was perfect from the free-throw line (4-of-4) to finish with 16 points and nine rebounds against Howard.
Jalen Jones (HOW) recorded a career-high 11 rebounds against Cornell.
Alex Long (NSU) scored a career-high 11 points, with five rebounds, one block and one steal, in a conference win over Florida A&M.
Demola Onifade (DSU) posted a career-high four blocks, with six rebounds, against Morgan State.
Donte Pretlow (MSU) posted a career-high 20 points, with six rebounds, six assists and one steal against Hampton.
