NORFOLK, Va. – Coppin State senior Cindy Okpegbue was selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Volleyball Player of the Week. Maryland Eastern Shore’s Zuzana Ondruskova earned Rookie of the Week honors, the conference announced on Monday.
Okpegbue (OH, 5-8, Sr., Austin, Texas) averaged a double-double of 14.0 kills and 12.3 digs during three matches at the Red Flash Classic. She finished with 20 kills and a career-high 15 digs in a 3-2 win over Saint Francis (Pa.) and earned all-tournament honors for her efforts.
Ondruskova (OH, 5-10, Fr., Bilovec, Czech Republic) totaled 46 kills, 19 digs, three blocks, three assists and three service aces at the Courtyard by Marriott Volleyball Classic. She registered 26 kills and eight digs in a 3-1 victory over Presbyterian and earned all-tournament honors.

Casey Curran (NCCU) averaged 6.86 assists and 1.43 digs per set in four matches and was selected to the JMU Invitational All-Tournament Team.
Monette Daniels (MSU) tallied nine kills, two digs and hit .388 against Delaware and Sacred Heart.
Angie Darcus (NSU) posted a double-double of 16 kills and 12 digs in a five-set loss to North Carolina Central.
Khaila Donaldson (HOW) recorded a career-high 23 kills, with 11 digs and two service aces, in a loss to Princeton.
Carmen Fernandez (MSU) averaged a double-double of 36.6 assists and 13.0 digs at the Delaware Invitational.
Petra Jerabkova (UMES) recorded 41 assists and 10 digs, with three blocks and three kills, in a 3-1 win over Presbyterian.
Rakaya Neely (B-CU) registered 14 kills and six blocks in a 3-1 loss to Florida International.
Samantha Polk (CSU) finished with a career-high 15 digs and 11 kills in a 3-2 win over Saint Francis (Pa.).
Reeana Richardson (HAM) tallied 10 kills, four digs, four service aces and two blocks in a 3-1 loss to VCU.
Sydney Sumner (NCCU) registered 15 digs, nine kills, four assists and two service aces in a five-set win against Norfolk State.
Lena Washington (HAM) was named to the Doubletree Cary Classic All-Tournament Team after posting nine kills, six digs and five blocks against Campbell.
